1988
Graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy.
1989
Received a Postgraduate Honours degree in Sport Science from the University of Cape Town, under the tutelage of Professor Tim Noakes.
1991
Moved abroad to Connecticut in the USA, where he practised for 16 years. From 1998 -2004, he was Head of Physical Therapy (Physiotherapy) at the Center for Orthopedics in New Haven USA.
2002
Graduated with distinction from Quinnipiac University (Connecticut, USA) with a Masters degree in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, receiving the Academic Excellence Award.
2003
In the USA, Geoff is recognized as an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) with the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and was a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from 2003 to 2020.
2005
Under the direct mentorship of Brian Mulligan, the world renowned New Zealand Physiotherapist and founder of the Mulligan Concept, he was awarded full international teaching accreditation in the Mulligan Concept of Manual Therapy in Rome in 2005. His involvement with the Mulligan Concept Teachers Association, includes the role of regional manager for Africa.
2006
Passionate about teaching, he has presented extensively in the USA, Egypt, Thailand, Brazil and South Africa. Geoff continues to further his knowledge and skill, with continued education in Dry Needling, Manual Therapy and Rehabilitation.
2007
Geoff established POINTPHYSIO on the Atlantic seaboard in Cape Town and maintains his licenses both in SA and the USA
2007
Geoff is a keen recreational athlete who established the P2training.pro Fitness Programme, loves Springbok rugby and dabbles in inventing, with one USA patent to his name. Above all else, he desires to honour God in all he does; quoting the Westminster Catechism: “ the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever”
