  • The Physiotherapist performs gliding movements of joints with varying degrees of force (we call this mobilization) to decrease pain and/or increase motion. These are non-manipulativetechniques.

This approach typically involves patient movement while the physio performs a specific joint mobilization, described by the acronym MWM. Geoff is an internationally accredited teacher of the Mulligan Concept since qualifying in Rome in 2005.

    • Maitland & Kaltenborn Mobilization

These approaches involve specific passive joint mobilization, with the physio using varying grades of motion and force (Maitland: Grades I-IV; Kaltenborn: G I-III) to reduce joint related pain and/or increase joint mobility.

    • McKenzie

In the main, this approach involves specific patient positioning with or without specific repeated patient movements in order to correct certain spinal dysfunctions.
