Pointphysio Treatment Interventions

  • The following physiotherapy treatments are typically used in combination and at the physiotherapists discretion (with patient consent) to bring about the best movement health outcomes for each patient (we call this process ‘clinical reasoning’)
  • Science supports a ‘multi-modal’ therapy approach (i.e. combination approach) in almost all conditions.
  • Most of this toolset is acquired by the physio through post-graduate learning, which explains the variation between therapists, as practitioner skill-sets and toolset can vary greatly.
  • Think about it as a menu of options from which the physiotherapist can choose to best suit the condition being treated or targeted. This process generally varies from session to session based on the patient’s response and changing needs.

  • In order to achieve and/or restore optimal physical function and performance, we use the Treatment Toolset comprised of hands-on Manual Therapies and non-hands-on Therapies, while taking the patient biopsychosocial profile into account.
